Driven to Protect at Potomac Nationals Game

On August 23, 2019, Driven to Protect attended the Potomac Nationals baseball game in Woodbridge, Virginia.

We attended the game to give attendees the opportunity to interact with the breath-based technology, learn about the program history, and understand the Virginia DMV’s role in highway safety and support for the Driven to Protect Initiative. Attendees, which included residents from Prince William County and neighboring communities, were enthusiastic about the alcohol detection technology and potential life-saving benefits of the program. We received comments from the public about a desire for ride-sharing services to integrate the alcohol detection system in their vehicles to ensure the rides are sober and safe. Hearing the perspective of attendees was interesting, and we enjoyed speaking with them about our goal to help eliminate drunk driving.

We had a great time and are looking forward to the next game!
